SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A woman in Enoree has been charged with second degree, criminal domestic violence after striking her husband in the head with an object.
The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident on Parker Road in Enoree on Saturday, where a man, who was identified as Kenneth Dunaway, was injured and bleeding from his forehead.
Kenneth was slurring his words and appeared to be losing the ability to form complete thoughts. He told deputies that him and his wife were involved in a verbal altercation regarding him giving money to the church.
Kenneth’s wife, Regina Dunaway, became aggressive during the altercation and was under the influence of an unknown substance, which was later identified to be methamphetamine and other substances.
Regina then became physically violent and began throwing objects at Kenneth, according to deputies.
Kenneth told deputies that as he was trying to pick up fragments of a Jesus statue, he was struck with an unknown object. He then fled to the neighbors house to call 911.
Regina told deputies that she did not assault Kenneth and that he had originally assaulted her over the last three days, but she never contacted authorities.
Regina Dunaway was arrested and charged with domestic violence to the second degree. She was transported to the Spartanburg County Detention Center.
