The drama series – Talamasca – will be available to U.S audiences, but filming will commence in Glasgow and Manchester between October and February 2025.

According to Glasgow Live, AMC Studios have asked Glasgow City Council for permission to film on Bothwell Street and the surrounding areas, on October 12 and October 13.

City chiefs are set to close off roads in the surrounding area to accommodate the large production.

Bothwell Street will be closed between Pitt Street and West Campbell Street.

Douglas Street and Blythswood Street will be shut off between Waterloo Street and St Vincent Street.

Bothwell Lane will be sealed off between Blythswood Street and West Campbell Street.

St Peters lane will be cordoned off in its entirety.

And St Vincent Lane will be closed between Pitt Street and West Campbell Street.

The Talamasca production crew have contacted affected businesses in the local area.

In a letter, they wrote: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank you in advance for your co-operation while we plan the forthcoming shoot.

“We are working closely with Glasgow Film Office and Glasgow City Council roads department and they are supportive of our scheduled activity.”

It’s not the first instance of major movie productions filming in Scottish streets this year.

Just last month filming kicked off in Glasgow and Edinburgh for movie legend Guillermo Del Toro’s production of Frankenstein.

Filming began in the Canongate area of the capital, selected for it’s distincive ancient look.

The Netflix production has an all-star cast – one of which was Hollywood A-lister, Christoph Waltz.

The Django Unchained actor was spotted taking in the most recent Old Firm derby, and was spotted by the pitch at Celtic Park, speaking to TV crews.

The crew also began filming at a Cathedral in Glasgow, and at Dunecht House – a 24-bedroom, 200 year-old mansion in Aberdeenshire – as part of the production.
