With temperatures still hitting highs of 26C in September, Spain is the ideal destination for Brits looking for beach, sea and cheap deals without having to travel far.

The fewer crowds and slightly cooler temperatures are some of the main appeals of visiting in September.

It’s also cheaper, and we’ve found four-night breaks from just £135pp and longer stays from £175pp.

These prices are hundreds cheaper than a typical holiday in August – but temperatures stay virtually the same.

There are many destinations to visit on the mainland and the islands, including Costa del Sol, Costa Blanca, and Costa Brava.

Or you can head to some of the Spanish islands.

Majorca is great for both families and couples, while Ibiza is known for its nightlife but also features a more luxurious peaceful side.

The Canary Islands, including Tenerife, Lanzarote, and Gran Canaria, have warmer temperatures reaching up to 30C, and a different natural landscape.
