The Pure Merino Wool Roll Neck Jumper is for sale both online and in stores at the moment.

It is retailing for just €50 and is made of 100 per cent merino wool.

Marks & Spencer said: “A timeless design and quality pure merino wool make this jumper a love-forever piece.

“The long-sleeved style is made in a comfortable regular fit, with a cosy roll neckline.

“Ribbed trims add subtle structure to the design.”

It comes in sizes UK 6 to 24 across all of the colour options but be warned that it is selling out fast.

One colour in particular has shoppers rushing to stores after it nearly sells out online.

The colour ‘Navy’ is sold out online already in UK 8, 14, 16, 18, 20 and 24 so fans are recommended to make their way in stores in order to avoid disappointment and secure their own size.

The rest of the colour choices are just as nice, with classic black, a simple ivory, the neutral shade cappuccino which resembles beige.

And lastly ‘blue’ which is an electric blue colour – ideal to add a pop of colour into any outfit.

The jumper is a part of the M&S easy to wear collection which claims to be “easy-to-wear wardrobe staples that combine classic and contemporary styles.”

Between the five different colours, this wardrobe staple has amassed over 528 shining reviews with an overall rating of a respectable 4.2 out of 5 stars.

One happy shopper commented: “I chose the blue one, and I’m very happy with it.

“The colour is gorgeous and very flattering, and the fit is comfortably loose.

“It will be an autumn/winter standby! Great value too.”

While another said: “It is very soft and nice and close fitting if you wanted to wear it under a jacket or gilet, but at the same time keeps you warm.”

The sweater is clearly trending as it sits at sixth place in the knitwear category’s popularity across the M&S website.

And this is not the only extra layer shoppers are going crazy for in M&S at the moment.

Fashion fans are rushing to buy a designer jacket dupe that will save them €775.

The Marks and Spencer Textured Detachable Scarf Wrap Coat retails for €105.

And is very similar to the Toteme Embroidered scarf jacket, which retails for a whopping €880.

Both jackets have the wool look with the embroidered stitching on the outer hems.

Of course, the Marks and Spencer version also features the statement detachable scarf that make the designer version famous.

The scarf has the same stitching and is made of the same material so looks to be part of the coat for an effortless winter look.

HISTORY OF MARKS & SPENCER

WHEN Michael Marks, an immigrant from the north of England, was able to obtain a stall in Leeds’ Kirkgate Market in 1884, M&S was born.

He used the catchphrase “Don’t ask the price, it’s a ‘penny’” to build his career after arriving with little money and minimal command of English.

His little booth selling basic home goods was rapidly booming because of this simple idea and his diligent work.

Michael teamed up with Dewhirst wholesalers’ cashier Tom Spencer to help his expanding firm.

This collaboration gave rise to “Marks & Spencer” and its initial Penny Bazaar locations, which helped the company take shape as we know it today.

Marks & Spencer then went on to first opened its doors in Ireland on Mary Street in Dublin on November 13, 1979.

More than 15,000 purchases were made on the first day of trading.
