Chelsea to win and both teams to score at 15/8 with talkSPORT BET – CLAIM HERE

Only three sides have underperformed their xG more than Crystal Palace (-1.52) while only four have created more chances than their 28 in the opening two fixtures.

Meanwhile Chelsea are on the opposite end of the scale having over performed their xG by 3.31 – almost double that of any other top-flight side.

Both sides rank in the top for for missed tackles this season, while Chelsea have been punished for those with three errors leading to goals – again, the most in the division.

However, Chelsea have won each of their last 13 Premier League games against Crystal Palace, so a home win with both teams to score looks a good selection.

Cole Palmer to provide an assist at 6/4 with talkSPORT BET – CLAIM HERE

It’s not the most electrifying selection, but it’s extremely difficult to back against Cole Palmer getting an assist this weekend.

The England international, 22, has provided three assists in two Premier League outings this season — that takes him to 18 assists in 49 appearances since joining Chelsea. He’s also faced Crystal Palace twice in his career and provided two assists in those games.

‘The most genius idea EVER,’ fashion fans say after discovering simple trick to getting their clothes to look designer

A FASHION fan has been hailed for her “brilliant idea” after she revealed a simple trick to get her clothes to look designer – without spending a fortune.

Alexis Nido-Russo took to TikTok to share her savvy fashion hack and her video has since gone viral with over 43,000 people liking it.

Alexis bought a ‘red blazer’ from Zara and gave it an instant upgrade[/caption]

The fashion fan, who always wanted a Chanel blazer but has never been able to afford one, showed how she transformed a red Zara ‘blazer’ into one that looks like a posh designer.

Alexis, who goes by the name of @locaeclectic on TikTok, shared a video showing exactly how she did it.

She captioned the video:  “Manifesting a Chanel tweed blazer into my life.”

Alexis first started off by talking about the red blazer that she found in Zara.

She said she “thought it was very cute, chic and gave Chanel vibes.”

However, on closer inspection Alexis realised she wasn’t a fan of the buttons and they were “really cheap and flimsy.”

So instead, she decided to head online and buy some vintage Chanel buttons.

Alexis said: “I’m going to replace these cheap buttons and I think it’s going to elevate the whole outfit.

“I just thought it would actually give the blazer a really unique and cool look.

“People will be like, ‘is she wearing Chanel?’ and I will be like, ‘only the buttons.’

“I’ve wanted a Chanel blazer for so long but they are so expensive.

“It’s on my wish list, so in the meantime, I’m going to have this Zara blazer with Chanel buttons.”

The video gained over 280 comments, with many people rushing to share their thoughts about her savvy fashion hack.

“This is the most genius idea EVER!” gushed an excited fashion fan.

To which Alexis replied: “Thanks!! I’m very excited about it!”
A second said: “I have done this with a lot of my blazers.

“It totally elevates them. Excited to see the results”

Whilst someone else wrote: “This is so smart.”

Another added: “I’m sorry I’m copying this ASAP.”

Others came up with some suggestions of what else she could do with the Chanel buttons.

One said: “Turn them into earrings.”

Another fashion fan added: “I replace buttons on jackets all the time to change the look.”

To which Alexis replied: “Omgggg this is SUCH a good idea!”

Fashion tips to make you look rich

Fashion Tips to Elevate Your Look

  1. Invest in Classic Pieces
–Quality Over Quantity: Prioritise well-made, timeless items like a tailored blazer, a little black dress, or a crisp white shirt.

Neutral Colors: Opt for neutral shades such as black, white, beige, and navy, which are versatile and exude sophistication.

  1. Accessorize Wisely

Statement Pieces: Invest in a few high-quality accessories like a designer handbag, a classic watch, or elegant jewelry.
Minimalist Approach: Less is more. Choose one or two standout accessories to avoid looking cluttered.

  1. Tailoring is Key

Perfect Fit: Tailored clothing can make even affordable items look high-end. Ensure your clothes fit perfectly by having them altered if necessary.

  1. Maintain Your Wardrobe

Iron and Steam: Wrinkled clothes can ruin an outfit. Keep your garments wrinkle-free with regular ironing or steaming.
Proper Care: Follow care instructions to keep your clothes looking new. Dry clean when necessary and store items properly.

  1. Footwear Matters

Quality Shoes: Invest in a few pairs of high-quality shoes. Classic pumps, loafers, and sleek boots can elevate any outfit.
Conditioning: Keep your shoes in good condition by cleaning and polishing them regularly.

  1. Monochrome Outfits

Single Color Palette: Dressing in one color or varying shades of a single color can make you look polished and put-together.

  1. Attention to Detail

Grooming: Well-groomed hair, nails, and skin are crucial. A polished appearance starts with personal care.
Subtle Makeup: Opt for a natural makeup look that enhances your features without overpowering them.

  1. Layering

Sophisticated Layers: Layering can add depth and interest to your outfit. Think blazers over blouses, or sweaters over shirts.

  1. Confidence is Key

Own Your Look: Confidence can make any outfit look more expensive. Stand tall and wear your clothes with pride.

By incorporating these tips into your fashion routine, you can effortlessly achieve a luxurious and sophisticated look without breaking the bank.

Newcastle vs Tottenham preview

With four points from a possible six so far in the Premier League, these two have had a relatively solid start.

Newcastle were perhaps a touch fortunate to leave Bournemouth with a point last weekend, when Dango Ouattara’s injury-time goal was ruled out for handball with the game at 1-1.

They then drew 1-1 in midweek before securing their passage into the League Cup third round with a penalty shoot-out win at Nottingham Forest, having dominated throughout.

So goals at both ends is something to look for here, especially when looking at past games. In fact, in just the last four Premier League games between these two at St James’ Park, there have been an incredible 20 goals scored, with Newcastle responsible for 14 of those.

Spurs banged in four of their own last weekend in a thumping win over Everton and that will have done them a world of good, having lacked a clinical edge when dropping two points at Leicester on the opening weekend.

Is Newcastle vs Tottenham on TV and can it be streamed?

  • Newcastle vs Tottenham will be broadcast LIVE on Sky Sports Premier League.
  • Subscription members can also stream the entire action on the Sky Go app.
  • Alternatively, SunSport will have minute-by-minute coverage of the whole match.

Newcastle vs Tottenham team news

Newcastle have Sandro Tonali back in a Premier League squad for the first time in ten months having made his competitive comeback in the midweek cup tie.

Fabian Schar serves the final game of a three-match ban, with Sven Botman still missing. Harvey Barnes is pushing for a start having shone off the bench last week.

Eagle-eyed Spurs fans spotted Micky van de Ven, Dominic Solanke, and Richarlison all missing from training footage posted by the club in midweek, with Van de Ven having taken a knock last weekend.

Solanke was expected to return for this one but it looks like he may miss at least another week, with Rodrigo Bentancur – who received a ban in midweek for international games only – available again after a head-knock on the opening day.

Newcastle vs Tottenham betting tips and predictions

Take his chance

Harvey Barnes’ performances this week have surely thrown him into consideration for Sunday.

He’ll be unlikely to miss out from the start but should guarantee himself a decent amount of time off the bench at worst.

Dangerous opponent and can capitalise on Pedro Porro’s desire to get forward.

  • Harvey Barnes to score anytime at 21/10 with William Hill – CLAIM HERE

Card man

Joelinton celebrated his 28th birthday a fortnight ago – now he can swap those cards for his usual yellow ones.

He scored the winning goal on the opening day but hasn’t quite fired on all cylinders since, including missing a penalty in the midweek shoot-out.

Six yellows in 20 Premier League games last season and already has one this season. Tough midfield battle in there and we’re looking for value with this.

  • Joelinton 1st player yellow carded at 7/1 with William Hill – CLAIM HERE

I live off-grid in my caravan for months at a time – my ‘military shower’ trick lets me have instant hot water all year

A VAN lifer has revealed how she used a “military shower” trick to allow her instant hot water all year round.

Sarah Yak can enjoy a warm shower at the flick of a switch even when she’s living out in the sticks.

Her DIY camper van features a 30-gallon tank and water heater[/caption]
YouTube/@sarahyak_
She can turn the heat on at the flick of a switch[/caption]

Sarah lives full-time in her kitted-out camper, much of which she designed and built herself.

One of her most important creature comforts is the ability to shower anywhere, backed up by an ingenious water heating system.

Demonstrating the tech on her YouTube channel, she revealed that she manages to wash every few days at least while on the road.

She said: “It’s been about four days since I last showered so I really need one.

“I have 30 gallons of water and I have a water heater.

“But I still try and conserve water.”

She does this by using a technique known as a “military shower”.

This is where she strategically turns the water on and off to use as little as possible.

For example, while most people might leave the water running for the duration of their wash, Sarah will only use enough to rinse herself down before turning it off.

Then she lathers up with soap with no water running, before switching it back on to wash it off and repeat the process.

Once she’s done, she just needs to switch off the water heater and the wall and pack away the shower head that stems from it.

However, that’s not the full extent of her gadgets and gizmos.

Sarah’s van also features a fridge, air fryer and air conditioning unit all run off a large bank of batteries strapped into a DIY shelving unit.

The batteries can be charged from the van’s diesel engine or via solar panels on the roof.

And another device up on top of the van is a Starlink.

This antenna, supplied by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, can be picked up for a couple of hundred quid and guarantees top-notch mobile coverage for “RVs nomads and campers”.

An £85 per month plan allows users unlimited mobile data across 102 countries using SpaceX’s network of more than 6,000 satellites.

It comes after a couple revealed the “final straw” that pushed them to quit their jobs and live full-time in an £18,000 caravan.

Molly-Mae has fans in tears as she reveals heartbreaking way baby Bambi is coping with Tommy Fury split

MOLLY-MAE has revealed daughter Bambi can “sense” she has split from Tommy Fury.

The 25-year-old influencer made an incredible return to YouTube last night and discussed life over the past two weeks.

Molly-Mae, who shot to fame on Love Island with Tommy, ended their relationship earlier this month amid claims he cheated on a lads’ holiday.

In the 36 minute video, posted to her YouTube channel, the star said she won’t be drawn on what happened but will continue to share details of her life.

She said: “He is Bambi’s dad and I will always value him, and respect him and always have a lot of love for him.”

Molly-Mae also revealed their daughter can “sense” something is wrong.

Reflecting on their routine now, she said: “I’m a little bit run down, got a bit of a cold, bit of a cough, standard.

She continued: “We actually had a lovely couple of weeks together. I feel so incredibly close to her at the minute.

“She’s quite frankly obsessed with me, it’s scary. I can’t go to the toilet or leave the room or do anything without her crying her eyes out which is not really ideal. I think she is having a little bit of attachment issues at the minute.

“She can definitely sense that there are changes and things are strange at the minute. I can really feel that she can sense that, which is very interesting considering she’s just a baby – she’s not even two yet.

“I actually have a child free day today and I don’t really know how to act because me and that baby have been joined at the hip.

“We actually had a lovely couple of weeks together.”

Tommy and Molly-Mae got engaged last year shortly after Bambi was born.

The star also shared a glimpse into how she has coped in the days after she dumped the shamed boxer, who was accused of cheating on her.

She said her sister Zoe has been stepping in to help with her daughter Bambi, and Tommy has also been taking the tot out.

She said: “I’ve just been sort of house bound, bed bound, Zoe’s been coming around to help me alot with Bambi and also Tommy’s been having Bambi as well.”

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace preview

One step forward, two steps back?

It looks as though it’s going to take a while to get some consistency from Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea.

The Blues followed their opening defeat to Manchester City with victory over Servette and a comprehensive 6-2 thrashing of Wolves at Molineux.

But just as the momentum started, they suffered a surprise 2-1 loss in their Europa Conference League play-off in Switzerland.

Chelsea still progressed, but supporters and punters alike are still unclear as to what they’re going to get from the west London outfit.

Many considered Crystal Palace to be “dark horses” heading into the 2024-25 campaign after their stellar end to last season.

But they haven’t picked up where they left off, in fact they’ve suffered back-to-back defeats to Brentford and West Ham, netting just once in 180 minutes.

But it’s not all doom and gloom for Oliver Glasner’s side, who have perhaps been a touch unfortunate.

They should also be buoyed by their 4-0 Carabao Cup win over Norwich with Daichi Kamada, Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta all getting on the scoresheet.

When is Chelsea vs Crystal Palace?

  • Chelsea vs Crystal Palace will take place on Sunday, September 1
  • It is scheduled to kick off at 1:30pm BST
  • The encounter will take place at Stamford Bridge, London

What TV channel is it on can it be live streamed?

  • Chelsea vs Crystal Palace will be broadcast LIVE on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.
  • Subscription members can stream the entire action on the Sky Go app.
  • Alternatively, SunSport will have minute-by-minute coverage of the whole match.

What is the team news?

Chelsea’s Reece James will miss the contest through injury, while we’re unlikely to see Romeo Lavia in the middle of the park as he nurses a minor hamstring injury.

Christopher Nkunku and Noni Madueke both started on Thursday night, but aside from that Enzo Maresca is not likely to make too many changes to the team which thumped Wolves.

Defender Chadi Riad went off in the Carabao Cup win over Norwich, leaving Crystal Palace with only Chris Richards, Marc Guehi and Rob Holding as centre-back options.

Mums reveal savvy tip for getting last-minute school uniform when all the shops are sold out & it’ll save you cash too

THE mad rush to buy uniform and all the other back-to-school essentials this time of year can be a daunting prospect.

Items can sell out before many parents have even thought about stocking up for the new term.

two women standing next to each other in front of vases of flowers

Zoe and Georgia confessed they have different approaches when it comes to stocking up on school uniform[/caption]

The cost of uniform can quickly stack up, especailly for parents with more than one little on heading back-to-school[/caption]

Luckily, presenter and Heart FM DJ Zoe Hardman and PR pro Georgia Dayton have shared their solutions to all your school uniform problems – and their trick will save you cash too.

Zoe and Georgia are no strangers to solving listener dilemmas on their podcast, Made by Mammas, where one mum confessed she’d left it a little late to buy her uniforms this year.

She wrote into the show saying: “Why is everything out of stock?”

It’s a problem Zoe has encountered too: “Oh my god. This was my reality this morning, everything was out of stock,” she said.

Georgia added that the reason for the lack of stock could be down to the 3-for-2 offers at the end of the previous school term, meaning lots of parents stocked up while they could get a good deal.

Not one to let a bargain pass her by, Georgia snapped up summer dresses, playsuits, skirts, pinafores and more for her daughter who is starting her first year of primary school this September.

Jumping on uniform deals is a good idea, no matter the time of year even if that means investing in shirts, trousers and skirts a size or two up from your child’s current size.

Despite her success with bagging everything her daughter could possibly need, Georgia did also have a handy tip for other parents who weren’t so lucky.

“If you’re really struggling, contact the school because there will be nearly new stuff that people like Zoe and I who also have older kids will be dropping off,” she explained.

The little-known way for parents to get cheap school uniform

Recent research by the Children’s Society estimated that parents spend £422 a year on uniforms for a child at secondary school, and £287 for primary school children.

This cost can put a strain on a household’s budget, but there are cheaper – and even free – alternatives to get items such as clothing and bags.

School uniform exchanges offered by local councils, charities, schools and even Facebook groups are a great way for parents to cut costs.

Parents usually have to swap items in order to get clothes for free, while other schemes charge a small amount such as £1 per item.

The exchanges are also an environmentally friendly option as it cuts down landfill waste and saves items of clothing including cotton and synthetics from being thrown away.

Search online to find out if you have a local school uniform exchange.

Level Trust runs an online uniform exchange with over 60 schools across the UK.

Parents can swap clothes for alternative items or get a gift card to use in the future.

Items are free and you can order online and collect from your school.

Back to school deals to be had

SEVERAL major supermarkets and retailers are set to launch their sell-out uniform deals.

EXTRA HELP WITH SCHOOL UNIFORM COSTS

IF you can't get targeted help from your council, you might have some other options available to you.

In some areas, you can talk directly to your school, which might be able to offer you clothing.

Or, you might be able to get cheap garments from low-budget shops or charity stores.

Some charities offer help to families in need too.

But bear in mind charities often have a limited amount of money to give and usually have specific criteria which must be met in order to get a grant.

Charity Turn2Us has a free grants search tool on its website which you can use to find out what help is available to you.

Meanwhile, you can always try approaching your nearest Citizens’ Advice branch.

If you don’t know where your nearest Citizens’ Advice branch is, you can find out by visiting www.citizensadvice.org.uk/about-us/contact-us/nearby/.

If you’re not eligible for a school uniform grant you might be able to get help through the Household Support Fund.

I’m a single mum-of-4 & was heartbroken when I learned the truth about our £500 caravan trip – we had to sleep in my car

A SINGLE mum has been left heartbroken after being scammed out of hundreds of pounds when booking a summer holiday – leaving her to sleep in her car with her kids.

Nicola Smith drove 58 miles with her four children to enjoy a summer trip for the first time in two years – only to discover she’d been tricked.

The 34-year-old found an eight-berth caravan for rent last month on Facebook, paying a private individual £500 to use it at Lyons Winkups Holiday Park in Towyn, Wales.

She claims to have paid the owner for a week’s stay with her children; Keisha, 16, Cam-ron, 14, Isla, eight, and Faith, four.

The family travelled from Nantwich, Cheshire, to the caravan site on 17 August – where their holiday hell soon began.

Nicola was shocked when she discovered the caravan she had booked was occupied by other guests.

“We were supposed to get the key to the caravan from a lock box but the code didn’t work,” Nicola said.

“The lights were on and we looked through the window and there were suitcases in there.

“I went to reception and they called the owner who said they’d never heard of me.

“When I realised it was a scam, I felt sick to my stomach.

“It was about 9.30pm and all hotels in the area were fully booked.

“I had to park in a car park, put the seats down and sleep with my kids in there.

“It’s lucky we had blankets.

I had to keep the engine running all night to keep warm.

“I felt so angry. How could someone do that to a single mother?

“I was sad for the children and so frustrating.

Why caravan holidays are so underrated

CARAVAN park holidays are a British staple.

And with the cost of living crisis wreaking havoc on Britain’s purses, more of us are turning to them for an affordable break.

Josie O’Brien, Senior Digital Writer on Fabulous, weighs in on why she thinks caravan holidays are seriously underrated…

WHEN I was a child, my mum used to collect the £9.50 holiday vouchers in The Sun.

She’d use them to book a couple of nights away at a caravan park during the school holidays.

As an adult, I fully appreciate the convenience of a humble caravan holiday.

No faffing about with passports, no luggage limits and no bog-standard hotel breakfast of stale toast and grey eggs.

I still love caravan holidays as an adult.

In a world of doing everything for the ‘gram, a caravan park brings you back to basics.

There’s no obligation to get dressed up, no stress to fit a million picturesque excursions in one week and I don’t find myself flustered in tourist hot spots like abroad.

I love going to coastal caravan parks and strolling along the beach parade.

My highlight is always fresh mussels, ice-creams and classic pubs to grab an afternoon tipple in.

And then, of course, there’s the cost.

Staying in a caravan is definitely way cheaper than my international trips.

With no expensive hotel bills and the ability to cook my own meals, I’m spending hundreds less than I would abroad.

I’ve had some of my best and most relaxing holidays in caravans. Maybe I’ll buy my own one day.

“Scammers are so desperate to try and get money out of someone.”

When first booking the caravan, Nicola had a “gut instinct” that something was wrong.

She claims to have called the site before paying the deposit and was reportedly told that the owner of the van had the same name the scammer had given.

Satisfied with this information, Nicola transferred money to the scammer via Paypal.

An exchange of messages show the con artist reassuring the mum that nothing is amiss, even sharing “caravan insurance documents” and saying “We are not scammers in the slightest as I’ve stated”.

Nicola said: “I had a gut instinct that something was wrong.

“They weren’t really chasing me up for payment.

“They wanted me to pay through ‘PayPal Friends and Family’ rather than Business so I called up the site.

“The scammer had likely stayed at the caravan park themselves and found out the owner’s name.

“It’s understandable that the caravan park confirmed the name of the person, since the con artist had this info.

“I tried to check everything as best I could but what else could I have done?”

The next day, Nicola forked out £439 for a Travelodge for two nights so the children could go to the beach and fun fair, before driving home.

Nicola added: “We were squished into one room.

“I shared a bed with Keisha and Isla, Faith was in a travel cot and Cam-ron was in a bed on his own.

“We wanted to go abroad but I can’t afford it.

“It was our first holiday in two years.

“It took me a long time to save up for the holiday with the cost of living and I’ve got four children.

“We had to spend our spending money on the hotel.

“I feel heartbroken.”
