KATIE Price and Kerry Katona’s new pantomime has broken sales records.

The longtime pals are teaming up this Christmas to play the wicked step-sisters in a production of Cinderella at Northwich Memorial Court.

The news was only announced last night but already the demand is massive.

The theatre‘s official Instagram account revealed that the star pairing is proving a hit at the box office.

It wrote: “Since our casting news broke earlier this evening, we have sold the highest number of tickets that we’ve ever sold in a single day during our last 14 years in Northwich!

“Book your tickets soon before the best seats go!
www.brioentertainment.org.”

Kerry, 44, commented: “Amazing!! [heart emojis].”

The stage stars – who met during I’m a Celebrity in 2004 – posed in character for the first time in a promotional poster released last night.

Katie told fans she’d bagged the role alongside Kerry earlier this year.

Revealing the news on her podcast, Katie said: “I’ve signed up to another panto! Cinderella!

“I’ve signed up for Cinderella and I’m one of the ugly sisters – and guess who is the ugly sister I’m doing it with – it’s Kerry Katona!”

Katie continued: “So Kerry got me the gig because she has been working with them for six years.

“And she was like ‘why don’t you come and do this panto’, and she said it was for the ugly sisters and I said ‘oh are we ugly then?’ and she said we can still be really pretty.”

Last year double bankrupt Katie landed a £60k payday for playing The Wicked Fairy Carabosse in Sleeping Beauty.

But some fans were less than impressed with her performance.

A video of her dancing out of time for the opening night, prompted critical comments from fans.

One said: “Maybe, just maybe Katie Price could learn the routines. She was an absolute disgrace.”

“Clear to see how hard the other cast members have worked .. very clear she thinks she can rock up making zero effort!!!,” another wrote.

While Kerry played Ugly Sister Butox in Cinderella at the New Theatre Royal, Lincoln.

Katie is faced with a £760,000 unpaid tax bill and was declared bankrupt for a second time in March.

She was served an eviction notice ordering her to leave her £2million Mucky Mansion by the end of May as bailiffs swooped.

She was previously declared bankrupt in November 2019.

A MAN has died following a road crash in Co Antrim.

Robert Lee, 49, from the Ballymoney area, had been driving a car that was involved in a collision with a lorry on the Frosses Road in Ballymena at around 11.20pm on Thursday night.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.

Roads Inspector Cherith Adair, from the Collision Investigation Unit, said Mr Lee sadly passed away at the scene.

She said: “Officers attended a report of a collision involving a Scania lorry and a silver Honda Civic, together with colleagues from partner emergency services.

“The driver of the car, 49-year-old Robert Lee, who was from the Ballymoney area, sadly passed away at the scene.

“Officers from the Collision Investigation Unit are examining the circumstances of the collision, and would like to hear from witnesses, or anyone who may have captured dashcam or other footage, who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

“Please call 101, quoting reference number 1888 of 19/09/24, or you can also submit information online at http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport.”

Mr Lee is the third man to lose his life on the roads in Northern Ireland within the last two days.

Daniel McCallister, from the Tandragee area, sadly passed away on Wednesday afternoon just days after sustaining critical injuries in a two-vehicle collision.

The 18-year-old was involved in a crash between a blue Volkswagen Jetta and a blue Volkswagen Touran.

The vehicles both collided on the Cladymilltown Road in Markethill, Co Armagh on Sunday.

Emergency services and officers from the PSNI rushed to the scene of the collision shortly before 10:45pm and rushed both drivers of the cars to hospital.

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash is still in a critical condition and is currently fighting for his life in hospital.

There were no passengers in either of the vehicles involved in the crash.

FATAL HIT-AND-RUN

And yesterday, a man, aged in his 70s, was killed in a fatal hit-and-run.

The pensioner was riding a motorcycle when he was hit by a dark-coloured car that failed to stop and fled the scene of the crash.

Emergency services and members of the Police Service of Northern Ireland rushed to the scene on the Boa Island Road in Belleek, Co Fermanagh shortly before 3pm on Thursday.

The motorcyclist, who has been named as 70-year-old Richard Maze, was provided with first aid by PSNI officers and other emergency services at the scene.

However, he sadly died at the scene from his injuries.

Police arrested a 70-year-old man in connection with the crash last night. He has since been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

He has also been charged with failing to remain where an accident occurred, causing injury, failing to report an accident whereby injury was caused and failing to stop where accident occurred causing injury.

The man is due to appear at Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Monday, October 14.

INEOS, the rapidly-rising car firm owned by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, has been forced to halt production of its popular Grenadier model.

The firm announced that global disruption means it can’t get its cars off the production line, with the delay expected to last months.

Ineos Automotive was founded by Manchester United boss Sir Jim in 2016.

Based in London, the company was reportedly born when the billionaire businessman was looking to replace his classic Land Rover Defender, which had been discontinued.

He apparently approached Jaguar Land Rover in an attempt to negotiate the rights to manufacture a successor to the model but, when this was turned down, he resolved to simply build his own instead.

That idea eventually became the Ineos Grenadier, supposedly named after Sir Jim’s favourite pub in London’s Belgravia.

However, the model has now run into difficulties thanks to a breakdown in its supply chain.

Speaking with Automotive News Europe, Ineos Automotive CEO Lynn Calder revealed that the company cannot get its hands on a piece of trim that it “cannot sell the car without”.

As a result, production has had to shut down until supplies can be restocked.

The original supplier of the part is, according to Ms Calder, in a “pre-insolvency situation”, leading Ineos to seek a new partner to provide it.

Unfortunately, the interruption has come just ahead of the brand expanding to vital markets in China and Mexico, where SUVs are in high demand.

There is no word yet on what effect the delay will have on these expansion plans.

For now, bosses estimate that no more Grenadiers will be produced until “toward the end of the year or early next year”.

A company spokesperson said: “Our production at Hambach has encountered a critical component shortage beyond our control, causing a pause in our production schedule. 

“Automotive supply chains are always complex and challenging, but this hits at such a busy time for us. 

“We are leaving no stone unturned in our efforts to get our manufacturing back up and running, to catch up with demand as swiftly as we can.  

“At the moment, we are operating a conservative scenario which would see us get back to full production rates in early 2025.

“In the meantime, we would like to thank our customers – in particular those waiting for their Grenadiers – for their patience as we work hard to get back to business.”

LIAM Gallagher is set to perform live at Wembley Stadium this Saturday amid hopes Noel will join him.

Oasis reuniting has been one of the biggest showbiz stories of 2024.

Liam joined Chris on his Virgin Radio show recently to chat about it in person and his own Knebworth gigs.

Asked with the set list change across the two nights, he said: “No not going to change it because it’s a good set list.

“Ten Oasis songs, maybe five new songs, maybe four or six of the other solo stuff. If you start changing it … you can’t be dealing with the winging, man.”
