I shed 8st in eight months & didn’t spend a penny on the gym – it was all thanks to 4 rules I followed and one if free

LONG and gruelling hours spent at the gym, as well as boring salad with no dressing – two things most of typically associate with shedding pounds.

But according to one woman, you can lose weight healthily without a hefty gym membership – and she’s living proof of it.

a woman with red hair and a green dress is standing in a living room .
The mum shared her epic weight loss story on TikTok

As well as following a keto diet, Kerry now makes sure she goes for walks with her kids every day
tiktok@ketowithkerry/

Before adapting a drastic change in her lifestyle, TikTok user Kerry ”hated” the way she looked, describing her figure as ”a bus” and suffering with low energy levels.

At one point, the stunning redhead beauty (@ketowithkerry) found herself weighing a staggering 20st – or close to 130kg.

Not only was the mum not happy with the reflection in the mirror, but she felt ”miserable” and her hormones were ”all over the place” – and she realised she needed to act fast.

Fast-forward to eight months and Kerry now looks better than ever, having shed a whopping 8st – 50kg – in under a year, all thanks to small yet effective daily changes in her life.

Daily walks

According to the slim mum, one of the key ingredients to success and a healthier lifestyle is walking – although it may not sound like much, this low-intensity cardio is a fantastic tool to losing the pounds.

The best part? Not only is it totally free – and beneficial to your mental health – but you also don’t have to be strolling around your neighbourhood for hours.

”Walk every single day, 20 minutes. Find something you like the look of, go and see it daily,” Kerry said in a recent video on her page.

Intermittent fasting

By now, you’ve probably come across this term – but if not, here’s what it means.

Put simply, intermittent fasting is an eating plan where people switch between fasting and eating on a regular schedule, typically sticking to the 16:8 eating window (16 hours of no food and 8 hours of meals).

Numerous celebs and influencers swear by this method, with Hugh Jackman reportedly trying it to beef up for X-men movies.

Research suggests that intermittent fasting, also loved by Jennifer Aniston, could help with weight loss and managing conditions like cholesterol.

But although this method is not suitable for everyone, Kerry was raving about it, saying ”it allows your body to have a break”.

”It allows you to rejuvenate and regenerate, and it also allows you to monitor what you’re eating.

Keto diet

On the topic of food, the mum also praised keto diet as one of the key elements behind her phenomenal weight loss.

Skyrocketing in popularity in the 1990s, the keto diet involves eating lots of “good” fat to curb hunger, while cutting out carbs and consuming moderate amounts of protein.

Is the keto diet safe?

The keto diet, loved by Hollywood stars and fitness freaks, can work wonders for people with varying health conditions, and also helps to budge weight.

However, there isn’t very much evidence to say whether this diet is a safe way to eat long term, other than for people with epilepsy, according to the Mayo clinic.

The experts have warned that restricting carbs can have some nasty side effects, including headaches, bad breath and flu-like symptoms as they adjust to ketosis.

It’s also essential to note that because you are almost entirely cutting out a food group, there is a high possibility you could also end up lacking in some nutrients found in fruit, veggies and grains, such as magnesium and vitamin C.

According to research, it’s said not only to boost energy levels but also help speed up weight loss process.

Kerry told her followers on the platform: ”It helps you become fat-adaptive where you’re burning fat for fuel, rather than glucose.”

Some of the meals the health fanatic has shared online include a delicious-looking prawn salad, strawberries with Greek yoghurt and chia seeds, scrumptious egg lettuce wraps, as well as protein pancakes.

Believe in yourself

Last but certainly not least, Kerry emphasises, was believing in yourself.

”You can do it. Nothing is stopping you other than you.

”Start today, forget about yesterday – you’ve got this.”

Strictly’s Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystał look cosy as he wraps his arms around her and fans spot ‘sizzling chemistry’

STRICTLY’S Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystał looked cosier than ever as he wrapped his arms around her in their latest post.

Pete, 36, and Jowita, 30, have been paired up for the 2024 season, and since then have been inundating fans with TikToks and behind the scenes videos of their journey so far.

But their latest post has left fans in a frenzy over their “sizzling chemistry”.

In a string of snaps shared to Instagram, the former Towie star is seen with his hand around his dance partner’s shoulder as she kicks her leg up at a brick wall.

They go on to pose for some silly selfies, with Pete using Jowita’s hair to mimick a moustache.

Taking to the comments section, someone wrote: “There couldn’t be more chemistry if you chucked a Bunsen burner between them!”

Another added: “What a partnership and chemistry for days,” while a third chimed in with: “Love this, clearly in love already xx.”

A fourth said: “Just the perfect couple not just strictly.. @p_wicks01 you’ve got the lady you can’t live without.”

One more concluded: “I know I shouldn’t say this, but you guys have major chemistry. This partnership is fit, chemistry is [fire] such potential already!!!”

It’s not the first time Pete and Jowita have set tongues wagging, either.

In a recent video, the tiny ballroom pro was seen leaning on Pete’s taller frame after completing their first rehearsal run, with Pete keeping her close as they spoke to the cameras.

At one point, Pete even rubbed her shoulders as his long hair fell in front of her face, causing her to smile.

Holding the camera, Jowita asked him: “How do you feel after your first run on the Strictly floor?”

“Tired, but excited, really excited actually,” he said. “How would you describe it, our dancing, in one word.”

When she responded “fire”, he told her: “That’s exactly what I would’ve said. Fiery, literally.”

“Exciting times coming,” beamed Jowita, with Pete adding: “Oh! Outfits are impressive as well.”

“Oh my gosh, wait till you see Pete’s outfit,” the pro dancer said. “Pete’s outfit is everything.”

While we weren’t able to see it, he teased that it was his “favourite colour”.

However, while their upcoming Paso Doble to the Prodigy’s Breathe may be fiery, fans couldn’t resist commenting on another kind of heat coming from the pair.

“Can feel the chemistry,” one wrote on TikTok, while another said: “Right I’m on board the ship guys!”

“This is going to turn into love I can see it already,” noted a third.

While a fourth said: “Oh ai I would love to see this happen he is gorgeous and a good guy”

“How long before the new romance,” questioned a fifth, while a sixth said: “They have an amazing connection don’t they?”

What causes the Strictly 'curse'?

Relationship counsellor Georgina Sturmer says the very nature of Strictly is the reason why it is the death knell of so many love affairs.

“It isn’t necessarily the case that relationships break down due to Strictly, rather that it highlights when things are not quite right,” says Georgina.

“The demanding nature of competing in the show can put strain on existing problems.

“For example, the long days of training and being away from home mean their partner could feel resentful, frustrated and even jealous, especially when they see their other half having the time of their life on screen while they look after the kids and keep the show on the road.

“The physical nature of their interaction with their ‘co-worker’ will be unlike any other job they have done too. How often are you pressed up against another person for ten hours a day? It’s a very intimate experience, even if nothing romantic occurs.

“Contestants often experience physical changes during the show – stronger, slimmer bodies, a more glamorous look – as well as revealing a new side of themselves. This isn’t always positive for their existing relationship.

“Aside from the ‘curse’, you also see plenty of contestants and dancers who are unattached become couples. I think the show almost gives people ‘permission’ to find love or have an affair, because the public almost ‘want’ and ‘expect’ it.”

Historic stadium of former Premier League club to increase capacity by 40% making as big as MAN CITY’S

LEEDS have announced plans to increase the capacity of their iconic Elland Road stadium by 40 per cent.

This means the Championship ground will host the same amount of fans as seven-time Premier League champs Manchester City.

Elland Road will share the same capacity as the Etihad

The former Prem stadium will take its capacity from 37,600 to 53,000 – almost level with City’s Etihad ground at 53,400.

The plans would see Elland Road become the seventh largest club stadium in England.

The ground would also be modernised to meet Uefa Category 4 regulations for “elite” European stadia.

Leeds chairman Paraag Marathe said: “We recognise how important Elland Road is to the Leeds United fans and the wider community.

“The opportunity to refresh a century-old stadium, coupled with the legacy of Leeds United, is unprecedented.

“Our plans reinforce our commitment to the long-term success of the club.

“I am excited that we are going to be able to welcome thousands more supporters to every game, in a stadium that retains the unique atmosphere of Elland Road.

“We look forward to sharing our plans with supporters and the local community for their input.”

There are also 26,000 supporters on the waiting list for season tickets.

This year the ownership of Elland Road, home to Leeds since 1919, was transferred back to the club for the first time in 20 years.

Marathe is president of the club’s owners, 49ers Enterprises who have experience in constructing stunning state-of-the-art stadiums.

49er Enterprises built the 68,500 capacity Levi’s Stadium, home to the San Francisco 49ers NFL franchise.

The company has hired acoustic consultants to work on preserving Elland Road’s fierce atmosphere.

But Man City are currently undergoing a £300million renovation to take the ground’s capacity to above 60,000 – a jump of 13 per cent.

And 400-bed hotel will open as part of the build.

But Elland Road will be larger than the world’s richest club Newcastle’s St James’ Park (52,305).

Leeds city council leader James Lewis said: “This investment can also be a catalyst for wider regeneration plans of south Leeds, which represents an opportunity of national significance.”

Leeds fell short in their attempt to secure immediate promotion back to the Prem after losing 1-0 to Southampton in the Championship play-off final – but will make it their mission to jump back up this term.

What we know about the 'new' Old Trafford

MANCHESTER UNITED plan to build a new stadium rather than redevelop Old Trafford.

The decision was made after a number of fact-finding missions to other stadiums including the Bernabeu and Nou Camp.

The cost of the project is expected to be a staggering £2billion.

A capacity of 100,000 is expected.

It is felt that a club of United’s standing should have a new state-of-the-art facility.

The new stadium will be built on land adjacent to the Red Devils’ current home.

United are looking to not only build a stadium but regenerate the area of Trafford where the ground will stand.

There had been plans to KEEP Old Trafford rather than demolish it, and use it as a scaled down second venue.

However, it’s looking increasing likely that it will in fact be entirely demolished.

The club consulted with 30,000 fans about what to do and believe there is roughly a 50-50 split on staying or moving.

The club have appointed the architects Foster + Partners to come up with a “masterplan”. The company were behind Wembley Stadium.

Old Trafford has been United’s home since 1910.

The target is for completion by 2030.

The ‘immaculately presented’ yard set in 23 acres of rolling countryside near the North York Moors National Park and Howardian Hills has room for 55 horses.

A south-facing three-bedroom stone-built house is the main residence, while there is opportunity to build a secondary eight-bedroom home for staff.

John Coleman, Director of GSC Grays estate agents, said: “This is a very well respected race yard with exceptional facilities in a lovely part of the world that has very strong links with horse racing.

“The property also offers flexible accommodation options with potential for generating additional income.

“The area is renowned for horse racing with an abundance of specialised veterinary practices, farriers and equestrian training facilities.”

Fell, 70, and Murray have had 340 runs on the Flat this season resulting in 23 wins and total earnings of £290,191 at the time of writing.

The former enjoyed big success as a solo trainer with Burnt Sugar, who had three huge successes including in the Bunbury Cup and an Ascot handicap worth almost £95,000 in 2018.

Fell said the yard has a ‘great pub nearby’ and it will make a brilliant home for anyone looking to set up camp there.

He told the Racing Post: “Sean and I are parting ways and the licence is going to be going back into my name.

“I’m not sure what Sean’s plans going forward are at the moment, but my hopes were he would take over the yard… but that’s not going to happen anymore, so I’ve chosen to put the place up for sale.

“I don’t want to go down the route of doing it with someone else, so I’m going back to doing it by myself for now while we sort it all out, which can take a long time.

“It’s a beautiful yard and it’s for sale, so if someone wants to come and buy it then by all means they can.”
