The property will go on sale at an auction in October, and the starting bid is just £75,000.
The house, on Broadbay View is said to be a huge renovation project for someone looking for a home in the highlands.
But there’s a rather unusual catch.
The spacious property – which is over two levels – has a lounge, which the auction house suggests was once home to a horse.
The rest of the ground floor is made up of a kitchen, bathroom, and back porch, with the upper level offering three bedrooms.
The garden stretches around three sides of the home, and there is an oil-fired central heating system.
Back – where the cottage resides – is a very small village on the picturesque east coast of Lewis, and is steeped in Scottish Gaelic culture.
There is plenty of opportunities available for outdoor activities, including scenic walking, plenty of cycling routes and places to go fishing.
There are also a wide range of facilities available for residents.
There is a local primary school, post office, shop, and community hall.
For a wider choice, Stornoway is the closest option for home-owners.
However, there is a lot of work to be done on the home, both inside, and out.
This provides a huge opportunity to add significant value to the home over time.
It’s due to go under the hammer at Auction House Scotland’s in-room and live stream action on Thursday 10 October, at 2pm.
It will take place at the Radisson Red Hotel in Glasgow.

BBC bosses have announced the all-star cast for a beloved sitcom’s latest series.
Having launched in September 2021, The Cleaner was created by and stars comedian Greg Davies.

The Taskmaster star, 56, plays state certified crime scene cleaner Paul “Wicky” Wickstead.
The series follows the snarky janitor as he wipes up the mess left behind after a murder.
Although Wicky spends all day dealing with blood and guts, he still manages to find entertainment at his job by interacting with the odd assortment of people he crosses paths with.
His working hours are spent gossiping with everyone from murderers to friends of the deceased.
Series three will begin airing from Friday, October 4 on BBC One and iPlayer.
Incoming guest stars include Game of Thrones star Conleth Hill and Inside No.9’s Steve Pemberton.
Joining them are Ghosts actor Ben Willbond, The Tower’s Gemma Whelan and My Big Fat Diary star Sharon Rooney.
Greg Davies revealed he was “delighted” about the show’s imminent return.
He said: “I am so delighted to be back wading around in blood. We have made sure that Wicky has some bizarre characters to deal with this series.
“Looking forward to sweating in a scene of crime suit and wearing the earring that my nieces find so cringe.”
While Jon Petrie, the BBC‘s Director of Comedy, said: “We couldn’t be happier to introduce our fantastic cast for the upcoming season of The Cleaner.
“Greg and SHUK have done a terrific job finding some top comedy talent for Wicky to bounce off, figuratively speaking.”
The latest guest-star line-up follows big names appearing in previous series.
The very first episode featured Helena Bonham Carter as a guest star.
