Cardinal Ritter gets big win in ‘Big Easy’

Cardinal Ritter College Prep began its season with three consecutive victories against impressive competition. The trio of perennial football powers- Jackson, Rochester (IL) and Francis Howell – all have strong tradition with state championships in the recent past.

Again, the Lions answered the challenge as they posted an impressive 38-20 victory to improve to 4-0. The Lions have not lost a football game in more than two years.

Senior quarterback Carson Boyd had a big night for Ritter as he completed 26 of his 31 passes for 351 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for 127 yards and another score.

Receiver Elijah Abdullah caught seven passes for 130 yards and a touchdown while Dejarrion Miller had four receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown. Running back Jamarion Parker rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown.
