American superstars Busta Rhymes and Jason Derulo have been announced as the replacement headline acts for the DStv Delicious Festival in Johannesburg this weekend.
BUSTA RHYMES AND JASON DERULA COMING TO SA
Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela confirms that Busta Rhymes and Jason Derula will headline ‘DStv Delicious Festival’ on Saturday, 21 September.
This follows the withdrawal of Janet Jackson after the passing of her brother, Tito Jackson.
IOL reports that the organisers said in a statement: “Following recent changes to the festival line-up, including Janet Jackson’s withdrawal due to her brother Tito Jackson’s recent passing, the festival organisers have worked tirelessly to ensure the experience remains extraordinary for fans.”
“We send our deepest condolences and support to Janet and her family during this time of mourning.”
Award-winning musician and actress Jill Scott will headline the gathering on Sunday, 22 September.
DSTV DELICIOUS FESTIVAL: LINEUP
Busta Rhymes and Jason Derulo will be joined by South African musicians such as Thandiswa Mazwai, Sjava, Soweto Gospel Choir and Boom Shaka.
Other Mzansi acts include Khuli Chana, Toss, OkMalumkoolkat, Morafe and Cassper Nyovest.
They will also be joined by legendary musicians Yvonne Chaka Chaka and Sipho Hotstix Mabuse amongst others.
Due to its lively atmosphere and wide range of musical performances, the DStv Delicious Festival has established itself as a mainstay on the South African entertainment calendar.
The DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival Powered by LottoStar will take place at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit on 21 and 22 September.
