Witnesses reported that two men on a motorcycle approached the victim, who was studying nutrition, and fired several shots.
Roberto, who financed his studies by working as a private security guard, died at the scene of the crime.
Local media said that the police confirmed the case on August 29 and said that locals heard gunshots and found the victim lying dead on the pavement near a supermarket.
Police confirmed that Roberto had been robbed by two men in July this year, but he had fought back, disarming one of the two suspects and shooting at them, with one of them dying in hospital after being fatally injured.
After the incident, he had apparently received threats, which local media said were made by the man who survived the shooting.
