Whatever Happened to Paul Teutul Sr. From “American Chopper”

American Chopper was a big hit for the Discovery Channel when it first aired in 2002, and no wonder—the relationship between Paul Teutul Sr. and Paul Teutul Jr. was one of the biggest selling points of the show about a father-son team who who manufacture custom chopper-style motorcycles at Orange County Choppers. Unfortunately, the same family dynamic which made the show so watchable led to its demise in 2012, with the Teutuls going their separate ways. Here’s what Teutul Sr. is up to now.

Teutul Sr. opened the OCC Roadhouse and Museum in Clearwater, Florida, in 2021. There was some controversy from investors who lost millions of dollars in an alleged Ponzi scheme connected to the Roadhouse. “We were going to get publicity from Paul Senior. He was going to promote the restaurant in his (TV) program. He was going to design a special motorcycle for the place, and he was going to visit it every once in a while, for the publicity,” investor Paola Arciniegas told the Miami Herald.

Hosting Competitions

Teutul Sr. is still running the OCC Roadhouse in Clearwater, which functions as a concert venue, museum, and restaurant. He hosted the first Orange County Choppers Invitational Bike Show and Biker Build-off Competition in 2023. He’s still very much involved with the business, judging by his social media posts. “Finishing up one getting ready to start the next one using 131 inch Harley motor then two more to go after that been a great year enjoying every minute of it blessed,” reads the caption on one.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Ryanair said: “Two new routes announced for Madrid (Verona & Kaunas).”

Alongside the good news, however, was an update regarding airport charges in Spain.

The airline added that the excessive charges are restricting regional growth.

They said: “Spanish regional airport growth is limited by AENA fee increases.

“Exciting news from Eddie Wilson in Madrid today, but urgent action needed from AENA with excessive airport charges restricting regional Spanish growth.”

Flights from Madrid to Verona start from just €14.99, starting in October.

And flights from Madrid to Kaunas start from €24.99.

THE SECRET BEHIND RYANAIR'S LOGO

A lot of people think the logo is a woman with her arms spread out behind her, however, it is in fact a harp.

Airline graphics experts Airhex, explained that the picture both represents the airline’s Irish heritage and the airline’s safety record.

They said: “The Ryanair logo is quite concise. It is a yellow harp on the blue background.

“Blue is chosen as a symbol of reliability, strength of spirit, national unity and nobility.

“But the harp is considered a symbol of Ireland, since the 13th century.

“However, the Ryanair logo depicts not just the harp. The illustration shows an elegant figure of a flying man, whose wings are directed upwards, which symbolizes freedom of flight, comfort and safety.

“Thus, the Ryanair logo is designed to show that the airline puts the safety of its customers first.”
