Oasis are returning after 15 years[/caption]

Who is Oasis drummer Alan White?
Alan Victor White, known as Alan White or “Whitey,” is an English drummer born on May 26, 1972.
He is best known for being the drummer of the British rock band Oasis from 1995 to 2004.
Alan played a significant role in the band’s most successful years, contributing to four of their studio albums, a live album and a B-side compilation.
His work with Oasis marked him as the longest-serving drummer in the band’s history.
Before joining Oasis, Alan was involved in various musical projects.
He auditioned for a band called Whirlpool, led by future Oasis member Gem Archer, and later played drums for the London-based band Starclub and Dr. Robert, the lead vocalist of The Blow Monkeys.
Alan also contributed to Idha’s debut solo album Melody Inn, which connected him to future Oasis member Andy Bell.
Alan’s drumming talents were first noticed by Noel Gallagher and he was recommended to Noel by musician Paul Weller.
In April 1995, Alan replaced original Oasis drummer Tony McCarroll.
He made his debut with the band almost immediately, performing on BBC‘s Top of the Pops the day after joining.
One of his early major performances was at the Glastonbury Festival in June 1995.
Alan played a role in shaping Oasis’s sound during their peak years.
He drummed on some of the band’s most famous albums, including (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, Be Here Now, Standing on the Shoulder of Giants and Heathen Chemistry.
Alan married American actress and model Liz Carey in 1997.
The couple met during the filming of the Don’t Look Back in Anger music video.
They divorced in 2004.
He later had a son with a woman named Charlie and moved from London to the countryside in 2013.
Alan enjoys a quiet life with his family now, often sharing pictures with his brother on Instagram[/caption]
Why did Alan White leave Oasis?
Alan left Oasis in 2004 under somewhat mysterious circumstances, and he was replaced by Zak Starkey – son of Beatles legend Ringo Starr.
But with the news that Oasis will reunite for a 14-date tour next year, Alan’s social media has been flooded with followers begging him to take part.
One of them wrote: “Whitey has stated at least a few times he would be in. I sure hope so. 100% deserved.”
Another fan posted: “Alan, call Liam. Oasis can’t be without your drum beats!”
And a third added: “MATE YOU GOTTA BE THE DRUMMER FOR THE REUNION, YOU’RE THE BEST.”
Alan dropped a huge hint that he might be involved by posting a picture to his social media of his drumkit.
It’s emblazoned with Union Jack flag-themed artwork, which was synonymous with Oasis’s 1990’s “Cool Britannia” era.
But speaking in an interview last week, Tony admitted that the brothers haven’t been in touch, but wished them all the best.
He told Mail Online: “I’m happy for Noel and Liam. Really happy for them… And I’m dead happy for the fans more than anything and for those generations who haven’t seen Oasis.”
Where is Alan White now?
As of August 2024, Alan White is focusing on his personal life and staying out of the public eye.
After leaving Oasis in 2004, Alan did not pursue a high-profile music career, opting instead for a quieter life.
He sometimes posts to his Instagram page, where he shares pictures of the records he’s listening to.
3 weeks agoNews TopicsComments Off on Oasis ‘to reunite BEFORE 2025’ as Liam prepares to play gig at Anthony Joshua fight at Wembley this month
OASIS are tipped to reunite before their 2025 comeback gigs – with an epic reunion teased for THIS month instead.
All days and ticket allocations for the 17-gig domestic leg of Oasis Live 25 have now sold out.
Oasis are tipped for an early comeback – and a premature reunion could be just weeks away[/caption]
It comes as singer Liam Gallagher already has a Wembley gig pencilled in[/caption]
He will perform three Oasis tracks at the Anthony Joshua versus Daniel Dubois IBF Heavyweight clash on September 21[/caption]
Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, has told he plans to meet Noel Gallagher a week before the bout[/caption]
Yet those Oasis loyals who also love the boxing could be in with a spot of luck.
For What It’s Worth hitmaker Liam had already been booked to play a three-song set at the Anthony Joshua versus Daniel Dubois fight at Wembley on September 21.
Now Turki Alalshikh, the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, has told how he hopes Noel will join Liam as the younger of the Gallagher’s performs a trio of Oasis tracks.
Turki admitted he has begun planning chats with High Flying Birds’ Noel, scheduled in the diary for a week before the bout.
And after complaints about the soaring ‘in demand’ pricing opted for by the likes of Ticketmaster, those tuning in to hopefully watch an Antony Joshua victory will pay a flat £20 fee on pay-per-view to watch Liam and the match, too.
On TalkSPORT show White & Jordan, Turki teased the premature comeback.
He said: “What will happen in Wembley, I hope to see his [Liam’s] brother with him.”
TalkSPORT presenter Jim White then asked: “You’d like Noel Gallagher to be alongside Liam at Wembley on 21st?” as he replied: “I hope so.
“It will be something amazing if we have them together.
Co-host Simon Jordan then tried to tease more gossip on an early reunion as he asked: “Have you asked Noel, Turki?”
Turki replied: “I will come on September 16 and we will start the week of the fights.”

Simon said: “I asked Noel if he would come to Wembley to watch the fight and to be part of it, and he didn’t want to,” to which Turki replied: “Well, we will try.
Holiday plans and pre-existing diary-dates mean any prep for Oasis Live 25 will likely be delayed until later in the year.
With the tour dates and details for the domestic leg now revealed to be taking place in 2025, the Wonderwall hitmakers have plenty of time.
Just days before the reunion was announced, Noel told a podcast about his upcoming holiday plans.
He said: “Over the next two months I’ll be all over the place on holiday.
“I’m going to the South of France for a week and then I’m going to Ibiza for a week and then I’m back in London for a week and then I’m going to Greece for a couple of weeks and then maybe off to LA to see some friends.
“I won’t bring my guitar on holiday because I’m staying with friends, so that would be rude.
“I don’t bring my guitar on holiday, it’s nice to get away from it for a while.”
He added: “I have to get away from it for a bit now. It’s very liberating not to have anything. I have no plans, I have no desire to make any plans either.”
Yet perhaps with the reunion now made public, Noel will have a change of heart.
Meanwhile, just a day later after the Joshua clash, Liam will headline his festival in Malta.
The match – and Liam’s tracks – will be available to watch for £20 on pay-per-view[/caption]
