Doting Jack Grealish shares touching birthday message as Man City star’s little sister Hollie turns 21

JACK GREALISH has shared a heartwarming post celebrating the 21st birthday of his sister, Hollie.

The 28-year-old captioned his post: “@Holliegrealish. Happy 21st birthday to my lovely little sister.

“Love you loads,” as he added three light blue heart emojis.

Doting Grealish celebrated lifting the Premier League title last season by sharing a hug and kiss on the cheek with Hollie in a heartwarming photo.

Hollie captioned that post on her Instagram page and captioned it: “The best.”

Grealish and Hollie are said to be very close, with the former Aston Villa star previously referring to her as his “best friend”.

Hollie was born with cerebral palsay – a condition which affects movement and balance.

She was born three months premature and was not expected to be able to walk or talk.

However, she incredibly defied the odds and can now do both.

In June, Grealish spoke of his pride for his sister after she landed her first job as a waitress.

Alongside a set of heart emojis, Grealish captioned a picture: “Go on Hols. First job . . . Birmingham’s best waitress. Proud of you.”

After being left out of Gareth Southgate‘s England squad for Euro 2024, Grealish has returned to the Three Lions fold under Lee Carsley.

Carsley, who officially has the England job on an interim basis, named his first squad after being promoted from the Under-21s job.

He named four uncapped players in his team; Angel Gomes, Morgan Gibbs-White, Noni Madueke and Tino Livramento.

Grealish’s Man City team-mate Kyle Walker was a surprise omission from the squad, even though he is yet to play for Pep Guardiola‘s side this season.

The Spaniard handed Grealish his first minutes of the season as he came off the bench in the 71st minute of their 4-1 win over Ipswich last weekend.

City play West Ham away tomorrow before the first international break of the season.

Inside Sasha Attwood and Jack Grealish's relationship

Sasha Attwood and Jack Grealish are set to become parents for the first time, but their relationship started well over a decade ago...

The pair met as teens in Solihull, West Midlands at secondary school, with Sasha previously saying they have been together since she was 15.

Jack was already on his way to becoming a professional footballer when he met Sasha.

Despite the long-term nature of their relationship, she remained on the sidelines when his career took off.

However, intense interest in Jack’s private life came to a head in 2021 when England reached the final of Euro 2020, delayed a year because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Because of their romance, Sasha was cruelly targeted by trolls on TikTok and Instagram, receiving 200 death threats a day from “young girls”.

The pair were spotted on holiday together following the tournament and slowly began showing more of their relationship on social media when the vile trolling died down.

In 2022, they celebrated their 10-year anniversary and purchased a seven-bed mansion set in 24 acres worth £5.6 million.

They moved in to the home in late 2023, but Sasha and members of Jack’s family were subject to a terrifying robbery while cheering on the Manchester City star during a televised match just after Christmas.

Their latest milestone is Sasha’s pregnancy, which they announced on social media on July 7.

Owners splash out £760 a year on swimming pools, designer gear & diamond collars for their DOGS

DOG owners are splashing out more than £760 a year on items such as cooling fans, swimming pools, designer gear and even diamond collars for their pooches.

A survey of 1,000 owners found many love to treat their pooches, with 47 per cent wishing they could treat their pets more than they do.

Nearly four in 10 (39 per cent) claim spending on their pooch’s comfort was more important than splashing out on other household expenses.

And 26 per cent have changed their own purchasing plans to accommodate their four-legged friends.

While 53 per cent would rather cut back on spending for themselves rather than their pet.

The research was commissioned by Shark, following the release of its FlexBreeze fan, which has donated £25,000 to Battersea to support enrichment activities for the dogs and cats in its care.

Tracey Scully, UK managing director at Shark, said: “We are passionate about improving everyday lives and that includes our beloved pets.

“That is why, we have decided to support a charity close to our hearts, Battersea, to highlight how the nation can best look after their pooch, whatever the weather.

“The research shows that many pet owners try all kinds of things to please their pets, but as Battersea reminds us, there are many ways to improve their wellbeing that we can easily do at home or that just requires a little creativity.”

Janine Pemberthy, canine behaviourist at Battersea, said: “As we celebrate rescue dogs and cats this September as part of Wear Blue for Rescue, we know that many pet owners will want to show their pets how much they care.

“However, keeping pets healthy and happy doesn’t necessarily require them to be showered with expensive gifts.

“In fact, there are plenty of cheap and cheerful things that pet owners can do with their dogs to celebrate in style whilst creating special bonding moments.

“From exploring new surroundings together on a local beach or muddy woodland walk, to keeping them entertained with fun filled indoor scent-based activities on a rainy or hot day, come rain or shine you don’t need to bust the budget to give your pets the enrichment they need to help them live their best life.”

Battersea's top tips to keeping your pooch happy - without splashing cash

YOU don't need to fork out a fortune to keep your furry friend happy...

1. Enjoy a change of scenery
Dogs love nothing more than a good walk, but a change can be as good as a rest so why not opt for a change of scenery. Dogs love new smells and sights, discovering a new muddy woodland walk or dog-friendly sandy beach can provide a dog with a rewarding way to spend the day.

2. Use Interactive toys
You don’t need extravagant toys, use homemade puzzles to keep pets entertained, like hiding treats in a rolled-up towel or inside scrunched-up newspaper in a cardboard box. Not only is this fun but also helps to challenge a dog mentally.

3. Scent games
If the weather is a bit too rainy or even too warm for pets, there are lots of ways to keep them entertained indoors instead. Hiding treats around the house and letting dogs use their nose to find them, can keep them occupied and taps into their natural sniffing instincts.

4. Training exercises
You might have heard the phrase you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but Battersea believes dogs of all ages can enjoy practicing some basic obedience commands, tricks, or even advanced skills. Practicing basic commands can not only engage dogs mentally but also help improve their behaviour and strengthens bonding.

5. Making new canine companions
For many dogs, being around other canine friends can be a great experience filled with lots of new smells and interactions. Why not arrange a playdate with other dogs, join a local dog meet-up/group or visit a dog-friendly park, all of which can provide social stimulation and new experiences for dogs. Not all dogs are social butterflies though, so remember to think about what your dog enjoys.

Fans left stunned at ‘truly awful’ error as football club manage to spell their OWN name wrong on official scarf

FOOTBALL fans have noticed a bizarre mistake on the packaging of Yeovil Town’s official merchandise.

Two major spelling errors were made on some items – including the cardboard packaging for scarves.

Yeovil Town’s merchandise had two big spelling mistakes on the packaging[/caption]

Rather than reading ‘Yeovil‘, the label on the scarves read ‘Yeovl’ – with the i missing.

The word ‘merchandise’ was also misspelled due to the absence of the letter r and instead read ‘mechandise’.

One person took to social media after noticing the mistakes and wrote: “How importnt is spelling? Does it mtter if you mis out certan letters?

“The packaging for @YTFC’s new merchandise has two errors in the four words – including the word Yeovil.”

Another commented: “That is truly awful. Correct spelling and grammar are important. Without it the written word becomes meaningless.”

While a third said: “It’s about brand….its amateurish and devalues the brand. Tbf bet they’re gutted.”

In response, a Yeovil Town spokesperson recently told BBC Radio Somerset: “Human error is natural; we’re not robots.”

Despite the mistakes on the packaging, the actual scarves have no spelling errors.
