The original run first kicked off in 2007 and ran for four seasons before being axed, and, in the UK, the series was broadcast on ITV.
He is also famous for his iconic roles in Star Trek and American Horror Story – for the latter of which, he was nominated for an Emmy Award.
Zachary is now 47 years old and was spotted out and about in New York walking his two dogs.
The actor donned a grey top and blue trousers as he walked along clutching the leads with one hand, and his phone with the other.
Zachary looked deep in thought as he scrolled on his device with his headphones in.
It was after Heroes that Zachary went on to appear in Star Trek, American Horror Story, and The Boys in the Band.
For his role in AHS: Asylum, Zachary was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.
However, he lost the award to his AHS co-star, James Cromwell.
While discussing his film debut in Star Trek, Zachary shared with the franchise’s official website: “Well, for all intents and purposes, Star Trek was my first movie.
“So, I didn’t really have anything to compare it to in terms of scope and scale at the time.
“It was an incredibly gratifying experience, creatively and professionally and personally, to work on the first movie.
“And I was really encouraged by the way everyone responded to it when it came out.”
Currently, Zachary is a show named Brilliant Minds which he posted about on his social media.
He penned: “Tonight is the night! Premiering on NBC at 10pm,” on his Instagram grid.
And just a few days ago he popped up on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about Brilliant Minds.
In his personal life, Zachary and Miles McMillan called it quits after nearly six years together.
In February 2019, it was confirmed they had split earlier that year.
At the time, breakup rumors were swirling when the former couple arrived at separate Oscars after parties.
An insider told People: “They amicably split earlier this year.”
