Over $100,000 has been raised for the Trezza family through a GoFundMe page set up in honor of Bella Trezza, 17, who was critically injured in the West Babylon automobile tragedy that claimed the lives of Ryan Goot and Michael Desmond.
Both Bella and her brother Austin sustained injuries in the collision; however, while Austin is making progress, Bella is still in critical condition and her prognosis is not good.
On Saturday, September 21, 2024, a terrible car accident in West Babylon, New York, left one youngster dead and four others injured.
Michael Desmond, 33, is said to have blown through a red light on Saturday morning while driving on Railroad Avenue in West Babylon after one in the morning and collided with a car on Great East Neck.
The driver of the vehicle, Bella Trezza, looked to have sustained the most severe, potentially fatal injuries. Her brother Austin Trezza, 18, Jack Murphy, 18, and Anthony Pagliuca, 16, who are all still hospitalized, were among the other teenagers in the vehicle.
For Bella and her brother Austin Trezza, West Babylon resident Gina DellaMonica-Giaccheto created a GoFundMe page. She claimed that Bella was on her way home after picking up Austin and a few pals from a party when the accident happened.
After several surgeries, Austin’s condition is stable, but Bella’s situation is quite dire.
To help the Trezza family navigate this difficult period, the fundraiser was set up. As at the time of publication, it had raised $115,448 out of its $150,000 goal.
