The “greatest car salesman in the world,” according to his followers on social media, Doug Townson, has stepped out to comfort admirers who have been alarmed by rumors that he has passed away.
Over the weekend, Doug Townson’s obituary went viral and terrified followers when the salesman from Watson, Louisiana shared it on social media.
He posted it to his more than 600,000-follower Instagram profile and his more than 200k-follower TikTok.
It’s safe to assume that by now folks were in a panic.
But before anyone could panic and go insane over his purported death, Townson made it obvious that the TikTok post was satirical by blaming Garth Brooks for his passing.
Doug, whose real name is Douglas Clifton Townson, is a well-known auto salesman, comedian, and social media influencer.
He works at the Rainbow Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (CDJR) in Amite, Louisiana, and is a graduate of Live Oak High School.
