The ‘immaculately presented’ yard set in 23 acres of rolling countryside near the North York Moors National Park and Howardian Hills has room for 55 horses.

A south-facing three-bedroom stone-built house is the main residence, while there is opportunity to build a secondary eight-bedroom home for staff.

John Coleman, Director of GSC Grays estate agents, said: “This is a very well respected race yard with exceptional facilities in a lovely part of the world that has very strong links with horse racing.

“The property also offers flexible accommodation options with potential for generating additional income.

“The area is renowned for horse racing with an abundance of specialised veterinary practices, farriers and equestrian training facilities.”

Fell, 70, and Murray have had 340 runs on the Flat this season resulting in 23 wins and total earnings of £290,191 at the time of writing.

The former enjoyed big success as a solo trainer with Burnt Sugar, who had three huge successes including in the Bunbury Cup and an Ascot handicap worth almost £95,000 in 2018.

Fell said the yard has a ‘great pub nearby’ and it will make a brilliant home for anyone looking to set up camp there.

He told the Racing Post: “Sean and I are parting ways and the licence is going to be going back into my name.

“I’m not sure what Sean’s plans going forward are at the moment, but my hopes were he would take over the yard… but that’s not going to happen anymore, so I’ve chosen to put the place up for sale.

“I don’t want to go down the route of doing it with someone else, so I’m going back to doing it by myself for now while we sort it all out, which can take a long time.

“It’s a beautiful yard and it’s for sale, so if someone wants to come and buy it then by all means they can.”
