Olivia Dangler named news director at FOX 2 and St. Louis 11 News

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — FOX 2 and St. Louis 11 News have a new newsroom leader. Olivia Dangler has been named News Director, overseeing the newsgathering operations on-air and online.

Dangler most recently served as News Director of WDTN-TV and WBDT-TV in Dayton, Ohio. She was responsible for helping to set the long-range strategy and manage the day-to-day newsgathering operations of both local television stations. Prior to that, she was News Director at WHTM-TV in Harrisburg, and before that she served as Assistant News Director at WTTV-TV and WXIN-TV in Indianapolis.

“We are thrilled to welcome Olivia to St. Louis,” said Krueger. “Her 20 years in journalism and 15 in leadership roles, Olivia is poised to not only maintain FOX 2 News and St. Louis 11 News as the leading news sources in the market, but also to drive innovation across our linear and digital platforms, as she has successfully done throughout her career,” he added.

Over the last several years, Dangler has co-produced state-wide and company-wide special projects for Nexstar, including Senate Debates in Georgia and Pennsylvania, the NewsNation Republican Presidential Primary Debate pre-/post-live stream, and she was the group content coordinator for the recent Paris Olympics. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University.

“It’s my honor to join this amazing team of experienced, dedicated journalists and continue to build on the legacy of Fox 2 News / Saint Louis 11 News by focusing on stories that matter to the communities we serve,” said Dangler.

Dangler replaces Audrey Prywitch, who retired in May.
