Borussia Dortmund are one of the headline opponents for the Hoops in the new-look league phase.

Celtic head to Germany and the iconic Westfalenstadion – currently known as the Sigma Iduna Park – for matchday two next month.

It’s Germany‘s biggest ground and includes the world-famous ‘Yellow Wall’ making it a must-visit for football fans.

Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel is already looking forward to joining the fans there to catch son Kasper in action – but the home side have now revealed they have SPARE seats for the big game.

It’s one of the stand-outs on the Celtic schedule but it appears Uefa haven’t been quite as taken with the tie as eager Hoops fans.

Officials have returned some unused briefs back to the Bundesliga side – and they go on sale this lunchtime.

BVB explained: “Uefa has not claimed all of its ticket contingent for the Champions League home game against Celtic Glasgow (Tuesday, October 1st, 9pm). The remaining tickets will be available from the BVB ticket shop from 12pm on Friday (September 20th).

“Club members who have not yet exercised their right of pre-emption can purchase up to two tickets in the online ticket shop.”

Dortmund kicked off their campaign with a 3-0 win over Club Brugge in matchday one.

Meanwhile Celtic were weighing in with even more goals as they stunned Slovan Bratislava with a 5-1 romp.

Goals from Liam Scales, Kyogo Furuhashi, Daizen Maeda and Adam Idah sandwiched a cool penalty from record signing Arne Engels in the second half.

It floored the Slovaks and boss Vladimir Weiss, whose namesake son captained the visitors.

Weiss Junior had a season on loan at Rangers earlier in his career and was jeered from the capacity crowd throughout his appearance but he “didn’t take it personally”.

The fans reaction though was music to the ears of one former Old Firm opponent who turned the air blue with a sweary, X-rated rant about the 35-year-old and his previous stint at Ibrox.
